Игровой процесс
В новых играх игровой процесс основан на решении головоломок с некоторыми сценами, ориентированными на диалоги.
Ранние игры в основном следовали сюжету связанные с романами. Главный герой изучает заклинания и другие предметы на занятиях в Хогвартс, которые часто используются для решения головоломок. Также ранние игры серии содержали «секреты», представлявшие собой счетный список скрытых дополнений. Игры содержали бобы «Берти Боттс», которые использовались в качестве валюты и карточки знаменитых волшебниц и волшебников, использовавшиеся в качестве предметов коллекционирования[1].
В 2023 году вышла игра Hogwarts Legacy, которая является ролевой игрой в открытом мире[2].
